Terms and conditions

• Royal Decree No 114/2001 issuing the Law on Conservation of the Environment and Prevention of Pollution
• Royal Decree 25/81 Ratifying MARPOL 73/78
• Regulation for dumping of the solid material in marine environment issued by the Ministerial Decision No 39/2004.
• Compliance with the technical specifications for licensing as approved by the Ministry

    Documents required

    • Approval from other Authorities (Ministry of Transport and Communications- Royal Oman Police) 
    • Valid Insurance for the vessel
    • A copy of the vessel emergency plan
    • A proof that the vessel has a contract with one of the companies specialized in combatting environmental pollution or an evidence that the company has the capacity to combat environmental pollution.
    • Comply with the regulations and pledge in writing to bear of  all the costs that may be incurred at any leakage in the marine environment

    Service fees

    •RO 100 for each vessel 
    *To be paid by the carrier 

    Validity of the service

    Three months – renewable

    Time required for processing the service

    (10)  working days in case all requirements are met

    Service stages

    1- Application for the License through ministry website and the attachment of all required documents.
    2-  study and assessment the application
    3- E-payment of the License fees
    4- Receiving the  License
