Terms and conditions

• Royal Decree No 114/2001 issuing the Law on conservation of the environment and prevention of pollution
• Royal Decree No 114/2014 issuing the Environment Protection Law
• Royal Decree No 18/2008 defining the responsibilities of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs and approving its organizational chart.
• Royal Decree No 73/98 approving the Sultanate of Oman’s joining The Vienna Convention for Protection of the Ozone Layer and its Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer
• Ozone Layer Protection Regulation issued by the Ministerial Decision No 107/2013 and its amendment by ministerial decision No. 67/2015
• Compliance with the technical specifications for licensing as approved by the Ministry.

    • Original new chemical safety card
    • The data or documents that may be required by the relevant authority.

    Service fees

    The imported quantity in kilograms 
    •From 1-1000 kilos                                  RO50 
    •From 1000 to 5000 kilos                     RO100 
    •From 5000 to 150000 kilos                  RO200
    •More than 15,000 kilos                        RO300

    Validity of the service

    Valid for one time only that expires on 31st December of the year of issue

    Time required for processing the service

    Deciding on the application within (24) hours

    Service stages


    1- The application should be made through the Ministry’s website and supportive documents should be enclosed.
    2- Application examination & assessment
    3- E-payment of the license fees.
    4- Receive the license
